Domestic Clothing Sales in the First Nine Months of 2025
The domestic market of China experienced moderate growth
Since the beginning of this year, supported by positive factors such as the effectiveness of national policies to boost consumption and the gradual recovery of consumer confidence, the domestic apparel market has maintained moderate growth, with online retail channels showing an improving trend. According to data from the National Bureau of Statistics, from January to September, the retail sales of apparel products by enterprises above the designated size in China totaled 759.02 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%, with the growth rate rising by 2.6 percentage points compared to the same period in 2024. Live-streaming sales and social commerce models continued to stimulate consumption, with online retail sales of apparel products increasing by 2.8% year-on-year, a 1.4 percentage point acceleration compared to the January-June period.
